COVID-19 Updates

*Below are updates to how the COVID-19 outbreak is affecting the day-to-day operations of the department.*

March 19, 2020

Brighton Town Hall is closed to the public due to the COVID -19 public health emergency. The Town will respond to resident concerns and inquiries by phone or email.


At this time the following meetings have been canceled:

March 18th Planning Board Meeting
March 19th Winter Farmers Market Project – Open House Meeting
March 24th Architectural Review Board Meeting
March 26th Historic Preservation Commission Meeting
April 1st Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting
April 15th Conservation Board Meeting

We will evaluate future meetings on a week-to-week basis.  The Town is accepting Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, Architectural Review Board, and Historic Preservation Commission Applications via mail at this time.

Permits and Inspections

The Town of Brighton is not processing new permits at this time.  We will review this policy in two weeks and reevaluate the need to limit the processing of permits. 

No interior building inspections will be performed at this time.  Exterior building inspections will continue to be performed at the discretion of the building inspector.  Please contact your building inspector to schedule an inspection or if you have any questions.
